Jon Lipsky, my freshman year acting teacher and writing mentor at Boston University passed away this past Saturday at the age of sixty-six. Much more than a teacher, Jon was an inspiration not only to myself, but to the thousands of students, artists and individuals he reached with his boundless curiosity and creativity. He will be deeply missed. Like so many others have said in the days since his passing, Jon played a huge role in my development as an artist. He also showed surprising faith in my work that still encourages me to this day. It saddens me to hear of his passing but warms my heart to know that he inspired so many.
