My new short play, French Twist will be presented as part of the Pittsburgh Employment Conference on August 5th, 2011. The conference is hosted by Shout AAC and Semantic Compaction, organizations that works with augmented communicators. Semantic Compaction recently screened their documentary, Only God Could Hear Me. It's an enlightening film. I have included a trailer here.
‘Some of Our Parts’ (opens on Wednesday) Theater Breaking Through Barriers commissioned these seven new 10-minute shorts, all dealing with disabilities, from an intriguing group of established and emerging playwrights: Neil LaBute, Kate Moira Ryan, Samuel D. Hunter, Diana Son, Bekah Brunstetter, Jeff Tabnick and Emily Chadick Weiss. Quick quiz: Guess which provocateur came up with “Cripples,” in which three guys on a park bench debate the benefits of sex with disabled women?
